Mantis Garden Tiller
turning an overgrown garden into a nice garden?
i have a garden that is about 20 feet long and maybe about 6ish feet wide. we just moved into the house last year and didn’t really have time to get into the garden to fix it so it became quite overgrown. what is the best way to get rid of the overgrowth and turn it into a garden for this year? i do have access to a mantis tiller thingy but not until may and i do get discounts at the local greenhouse for plants and any weed blockers… so how would you suggest going about this before it becomes to unmanageable again?
i have no idea what is in the garden, there might be a couple flowers but i don’t know what they are. the garden runs along a fence and there is nothing on the other side in the neighbors yard. also there are no trees… just weeds, overgrowth, and a couple flowers that i don’t mind getting rid of to start over.
I would look into lasagna gardening. This is a way to layer natural materials in the garden, lawn or flower bed to help prevent weeds and create great soil for plants. I would also look at Dave’s garden. It is a great gardening forum that I am a member of. You can ask questions on forums about of garden and plants.
With lasagna gardening you won’t even need the tiller!
